MAPP-SD Resources

MAPP-SD encourages business and community leaders, law enforcement, faith-based organizations and citizens to examine Meth issues in their communities and join together in the battle to eradicate Meth from the area.  In support of local and statewide efforts, MAPP-SD provides a range of free resources to anyone in the state.

MAPP-SD Community Presentations/Training
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinators offer informational presentations and specific training sessions on a variety of Meth-related issues.  Please download a request form (PDF) for details on scheduling a session. 

MAPP-SD School Classroom Training.
Schools are in need of accurate, up to date information on Meth to best educate their students.  Working in conjunction with Governor Mike Rounds' Meth Makes You Ugly campaign, MAPP-SD carefully researched and developed educational classroom presentations and materials, offering them free-of-charge to South Dakota’s 7th-12th grade students.

MAPP-SD can:
v Help develop a local grassroots community coalition
v Support the coalition's prevention activities through the use of proven concepts, technology and materials.
v Provide state-wide Meth awareness and prevention educational opportunities
v Provide support for local, regional and statewide groups who want to make a difference in the fight against Meth use and manufacturing.

Trained professional Meth Prevention coordinators provide free educational training on:
v Child Endangerment (DEC Team training)
v METH ALERT© (Voluntary retail/hotel program)
v Lab Identification
v Signs and symptoms of Meth use
v Impact of Meth use
v Impact of Meth manufacturing
v Outdoor safety, including Ditch Walk
v Environmental Impact
 and other specific issues upon request.
