A major drug bust in
Aberdeen, SD, netted more than two pounds of Meth, a quarter-pound of
cocaine, four pounds of marijuana,
a 9MM semi-automatic pistol, cash and drug paraphernalia. Two people were
arrested in the bust, a 32-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.
They
arrested by a house where they lived with their two young children, the
woman’s parents and grandparents.
The man faces up to 100 years in prison and $100,000 in fines if he is
convicted of all the state charges facing him; the woman faces 30-years
and $30,000 in fines. They may also face federal charges in connection
with the bust.
While
the amount of drugs seized was quite large, authorities do not think any
were manufactured in the home.
The Brown County
Drug Task Force – with members from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the
Aberdeen Police Department and the state Division of Criminal
Investigation – began investigating the case about 15 months ago.
