President Bush Aims to Cut Meth Use by 15%


On June 2, the administration announced a new plan to fight synthetic drug use in the United States.  The strategy includes a goal of reducing Meth use and prescription drug use by 15% over the next three years.  The plan also aims to reduce clandestine Meth labs by 25% over the same time frame. 

The Synthetic Drug Control Strategy includes three major provisions for battling Meth on the national front: Improving intelligence; Implementing the Combat Meth Act and Strengthening law enforcement and border controls with Mexico.
