April

3 – Kennebec MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will present information on Meth abuse, the signs and symptoms to the Kennebec Women’s Club, Town and Country Club and Eastern Star members.

3 - Rosholt Meth Prevention coordinator Jeanne Pufahl-Ward will educate school-aged students regarding the dangers associated with Ditch Walk clean-up. Participants will learn what Meth lab waste looks like, what to do to stay safe if they encounter Meth lab waste on a ditch walk, along with how to contact the proper authorities regarding Meth labs and waste.

5 – Sisseton Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Pufahl-Ward will offer training to medical providers regarding regarding Signs & Symptoms of Use and Child Endangerment (Drug Endangered Children) issues, along with personal safety tips/procedures that should be utilized while making home visits.  The training will be held at the Sisseton Indian Health Services located at 5 Chestnut Street Sisseton, S.D. from 9-11A.M.

5 – Sioux Falls The staff of Longfellow Elementary will receive a presentation on the dangers of Meth in a child’s home environment from MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen.

6 – Clark The Clark County Coalition hosts a Community Forum from 7-8:30 at the Senior Citizens Center. Guest speakers include a member of law enforcement and recovering Meth addict. The dangers of Meth use and manufacturing, plus information regarding treatment will be provided. 

6- Sioux Falls The East River Intrastate Committee on Abuse and Neglect will receive training from MAPP-SD VP Kevin Jensen concerning basic Meth information, signs of exposure to Meth in children and personal safety issues involving work with Meth users.  The training will be held in the Orthopedic Institute Auditorium n the McKennan Hospital Campus beginning at 6:30 P.M.

12 – Spearfish  A community presentation at Spearfish High School by MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas, law enforcement and treatment professionals will provide information on how to prevent and recognize Meth use among teens and adults, signs and symptoms of use and associated dangers, and how to get help for a loved one. 

13 – Aberdeen Meth Prevention Coordinator Monica Hale will offer a training session for the staff of Central High School beginning at 10AM, and for the Preschool staff of Lincoln School at 12:30PM.

17 - Sturgis A community presentation from 6:30-8:00 PM will cover the signs and symptoms of Meth use, recognizing problems in teens, and how to help. MAPP- SD will be part of a panel of presenters for this community session sponsored by R.A.M. (Realtors Against Meth) in the Sturgis Community Center Theatre

18 - Whitewood-POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER Please check back for updates.   A community presentation from 6:30-8:00 PM covering the signs and symptoms of Meth use, recognizing problems in your teens, and how to help.  MAPP-SD will be part of a panel of presenters for this community session sponsored by R.A.M. (Realtors Against Meth) at the Whitewood Elementary School

19 – Sioux Falls
MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will present information on Drug Endangered Children and Meth use signs/symptoms at Discovery Elementary School from 2-3:30 P.M.

19 – Rapid City  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas  will offer a presentation for prenatal and maternal care staff at Rapid City Regional Hospital on signs and symptoms of Meth use and effects of prenatal Meth exposure from 8-9 AM

19 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will present Meth and signs and symptoms and child endangerment and a second session on Meth labs and dangers during the Urban Indian Health Coalition conference

19 – Waubay
Enemy Swim During a teachers in-service for the Enemy Swim Day School, Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Pufahl-Ward will offer information to school staff to help educators recognize signs & symptoms of Meth use in parents, along with addressing Child Endangerment/Drug Endangered Children issues. 
 
20 – Milbank
Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Pufahl-Ward will offer training to the Grant County 1st Responders crews at the Milbank Fire Hall from 7:30-9:00 pm.  The training will include information on Meth labs, fires, explosions and waste contamination.

20 – Rapid City A panel of family members of Meth users and former users will share their stories during the Quarterly Coalition Meeting of the Rapid City Meth Coalition from noon until 1PM at the Youth & Family Services Girls Inc.  

20 – Stagebarn-Postponed due to weather A community presentation from 6:30-8:00 PM will cover the signs and symptoms of Meth use, recognizing problems in your teens, and how to help. MAPP-SD will be part of a panel of presenters for this community session sponsored by R.A.M. (Realtors Against Meth) at the Stagebarn Elementary School

20 – Parker The Turner County Child Protection Team will receive general Meth education and specific information on Meth labs and Drug Endangered Children at the Community Center starting at 7P.M.  MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will be the presenter.

21 – Watertown The local MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator will present information on Drug Endangered Children during the Watertown Community Foundation Women and Giving Luncheon at the Watertown Event Center.

29- Watertown  Representatives from the Watertown Meth Prevention Coalition will provide training for young hunters on how to recognize and appropriately report Meth lab waste during this quarter’s GF&P Hunt Safe Course.

21 – Aberdeen Meth Prevention Coordinator Monica Hale will present information on Meth use, signs and symptoms to the Chamber of Commerce at 7:30AM.

21 – Rapid City Informational sessions on signs and symptoms of Meth use and child endangerment will be presented by MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas during the Birth to Three Conference

21 – Rapid Valley
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation for parents at Valley View School, hosted by the PTA. Parents will receive information on how to prevent Meth use in their children, as well as signs and symptoms of use, dangers of Meth and how to intervene if Meth use is suspected. Options for treatment will also be discussed. The presentation will begin at six in the evening at the school.

22 – Rapid City A Meth Awareness presentation for Christian Life Ministries from 9-11AM will include information about Meth signs and symptoms and the dangers of use, impacts of use on families and children in the home, and (briefly) Meth labs at the Christian Life Ministries on North Plaza Drive

25 – Viborg
 MAPP-SD VP Kevin Jensen will present information on the signs and symptoms of Meth use, Meth labs and Drug Endangered Children to the area First Responders and other medical personnel in the Viborg Community Center starting at 7 P.M.

25 – Spearfish A community presentation at Lead-Deadwood High School will include MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas, law enforcement and treatment professionals. Information will include how to prevent and recognize Meth use among teens and adults, signs and symptoms of use and associated dangers, and how to get help for a loved one. 

26 – Eagle Butte A Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) Meth Awareness presentation will be offered for all programs and employees from 1-3PM with information on signs, symptoms and dangers of Meth use and how to recognize a user, as well as information on Meth labs. Co-presenters will include MAPP-SD and law enforcement from the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force

26 – Eagle Butte The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) Meth Awareness will offer a presentation for tribal members from 5:30-8:30PM covering the signs, symptoms and dangers of Meth use and how to recognize a user, as well as information on Meth labs. Co-presenters will include MAPP-SD and law enforcement from the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force

27 –Aberdeen Parents of Roncalli High School students are invited to a Meth informational program presented by Meth Prevention Coordinator Monica Hall beginning at 5PM.

27 – Eagle Butte During the Red Road Gathering MAPP-SD will provide an overview of Meth use and dangers, including Meth labs and child endangerment during this 3-day event

28 – Rapid City An Issues Forum on Methamphetamine will begin at one in the afternoon.  Participants at this event will discuss solutions to the Methamphetamine problem as well as provide input towards any revisions on the structure of the Issues Forum itself. This will be the first event of its type. Interested participants must RSVP to MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas, as participation is limited to 20 individuals. Other similar events may be held in the future.

29 – Winner MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will present information on the signs of Meth use, labs and drug-endangered children to the South Dakota General Federation of Women meeting at the Holiday Inn

30- Mellette Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Pufahl-Ward will offer specialized training to the State Fire Marshall Office and NE District Firefighters Association at Northwestern School from 9A.M. to noon.  Participants will learn about the signs and symptoms of Meth use, Meth labs, clean up and remediation.  Participants will learn behaviors they may encounter when responding to a Meth incident, dangers associated with Meth lab fires and explosions. 
 


May

2 – Eagle Butte From 1-3PM, MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation for CRST environmental, housing and other employees on Meth labs, safety, cleanup information and procedures and cleanup companies in South Dakota at the Tribal Wellness Center in Eagle Butte

2 – Bison MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a community presentation concerning important information about Meth, including signs and symptoms of use, information about labs, and effects on children in the home. This presentation will be in the gymnasium in Bison from 6:30-8:30 PM.

4 – Pierre MAPP-SD VP Kevin Jensen will present information on Meth lab dangers, their clean-up and remediation to the Code Enforcement Officers of the SD Municipal League beginning at 8:30 A.M. at the Ramkota Hotel and Convention Center. 

5 – Marty MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will offer information on Meth Mouth to interested community members beginning at 12:30PM at the Marty Indian School.

15 – Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information to staff at the Center for Family Medicine concerning Meth use signs and symptoms, Meth lab dangers, drug endangered children and what family practice doctors might encounter in emergency rooms or clinics.

16 – Brookings MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen and MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Kathy Asper will provide Drug Endangered Children (DEC) Team training from 12:30PM-4:40PM.

18 – Lemmon From 9:30-11:30AM at the High School, school staff will receive training on general Meth awareness and prevention information, including signs & symptoms of Meth use, child endangerment and mandatory reporting information - including changes to South Dakota laws.

18 – Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Tickner will present Meth awareness information for dental office personnel during the South Dakota Dental/Dental Hygiene Associations' Annual Session at the Sheraton Hotel from 1-3pm.

18 – Lemmon A community presentation at the Lemmon Armory from 7-9PM will offer general Meth awareness and prevention information for community members, including signs & symptoms of Meth use, child endangerment and costs to the community.

20 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will provide a Supervised Visitation Network special post-conference session on Meth, including Meth labs, signs and symptoms of use and child endangerment issues, from 8:00 AM to noon at the Ramkota

22 -Hamlin
The
Watertown Meth Prevention Coordinator and members of local Law Enforcement will provide training for K-12 teachers and support staff at the Hamlin Education Center on Monday May 22, 8:30-10 AM in the band room.
 
22 - Watertown Watertown MAPP-SD Coalition members will provide training for Motel staff at both 1:30 and 4 PM at the Watertown Event Center. These two hour-long sessions will each provide training on recognizing/reporting signs of a Meth lab and signs of Meth use, how to recognize suspicious people at check-in, and how to stay safe if confronted by someone who is high on Meth.

23 – Springfield MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will provide in-depth Meth awareness training for nurses, correctional officers and other community service people at the Mike Durfee Prison during two, two-hour sessions. 

24 – Watertown The Watertown Meth Prevention Coordinator will provide training for Lake Area Vo-Tech Day Care staff from 1-2 PM at the Day Care Center.

25 – Sioux Falls Sioux Valley Hospital employees will receive information on Meth and its devastating effects from MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen beginning at noon in the Sioux Valley Schroeder Auditorium.

25 – Custer A community presentation will include Kari Daron of Southern Hills Alcohol & Drug, MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas, law enforcement and States Attorney. Information on the local Meth problem as well as Meth labs and signs and symptoms of use will be provided.

25 – Yankton MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will provide in-depth Meth awareness training for nurses, correctional officers and other community service people at the Yankton Trustee Unit during two, two-hour sessions.   
 


June

3 – Watertown Members of the Watertown MAPP-SD Coalition provide a Ditch Walk Safety training segment at the Game Fish and Parks Department training for local teen hunters.  The training will be offered again on August 12.

8 – Spearfish MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will present information about Meth labs and cleanup and remediation of former lab properties to the Mountain Plains Regional Council and National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Commission at the Holiday Inn

8 & 9 – Sioux Falls During a two-day, six-hour session, MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen and VP Kevin Jensen will provide Meth awareness training and safety measures for the South Dakota Auctioneers Association.

12 – Pierre MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will offer a special Meth awareness presentation during the Dare to Dream meeting at the Ramkota Inn.  Please contact Robin Erz at the state Department of Human Services for more information.

13 – Faith MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a community presentation on the signs and symptoms of Meth use and the dangers associated with Meth labs at 6PM.

30 – Rapid City
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation and focus group for the Pete Lien & Sons GreatKids program starting at 3:15PM at Pete Lien & Sons Conference Room

14- Springfield MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will present information on the signs and symptoms of Meth use and the dangers associated with Meth labs to students and staff of the Springfield Academy.

17 - Sioux Falls - MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information on the impact of Meth on students and schools to employees of the Sioux Falls School District at Washington High School, beginning at 2:15PM.

17-19 - Minnesota MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen and MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will present training and information during the Indian Health Services Meth Summit.

25 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen will offer training to the management group of Midland National Insurance on understanding and recognizing Meth use in the workplace, how to deal with it, prevention plans and treatment referral options. 


August

7 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will offer Meth awareness training to the staff of the Children's Inn.

10 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen will offer training to the management group of Midland National Insurance on understanding and recognizing Meth use in the workplace, how to deal with it, prevention plans and treatment referral options. 

15 – Eagle Butte MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer METH ALERT Training for retail managers on the Cheyenne River Reservation, including awareness of Meth labs and dangers, retail products used in its manufacture and how to comply with new federal laws taking effect September 1.  The training will be held at the Tribal Wellness Center in Eagle Butte.

14 through 17 – Rapid City Multiple informational sessions about Meth will be provided during the Northwest Indian Head Start regional conference.

17 – Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information on the signs and symptoms of Meth use to the Southeast Technical Institute staff beginning at 3PM.  

18 – Wagner MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will offer information on Meth and drug endangered children to the South Central Cooperative teachers during three sessions. 

21- Lake Andes MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will present information on identifying students who may be using or exposed to Meth for the Andes Central School District staff.

22 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen will provide Meth information for the staff and tenants of the Empire Mall beginning at 1:30PM.


September

7 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information about Meth and the warning signs of use or exposure in parents and children to the Apple Tree Children's Center staff.

11-Sioux Falls
MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will offer information on Meth labs, their dangers, clean-up and remediation to members of the South Dakota Multi-Housing Association at the Good Samaritan Society, starting at 1PM.

12 Sisseton MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Ward will present information concerning “What Is Meth” to the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe’s Elderly Board beginning at one in the afternoon.

14 Sisseton MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Ward will present information during a mandatory training for all administrators and employees from tribal housing of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate’s Tribe’s Housing Board regarding Meth labs, signs and symptoms of use and how to advocate for the safety of themselves and tribal members. The training begins at two in the afternoon.

14- Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will provide information on the impact of Meth on dentistry for the South Dakota Dental Hygiene Association of the Black Hills.  They will meet in the Rapid City Public Library beginning at 7PM.

19 Sisseton Starting at 11AM, members of the Sisseton Wahpeton Human Services Board will receive training on “What is Meth?” presented by MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Ward.

20 & 22 Sisseton MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Jeanne Ward will present information regarding Meth and hotels/motels safety, signs & symptoms of use; how to report Meth activity and how to advocate for the safety of the guests at their casinos and themselves. This is a mandatory training for all casino workers of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe.  Sessions will run from 8:30AM until 4:30PM both days.

21- Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Vice President Kevin Jensen will offer information on Meth to the South Dakota Emergency Management Association starting at 8:15AM.

23 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor  will offer a presentation on Meth and health care workers to the Association of Surgical Technologists at the Southeast Area VoTech Health and Science Building.

23 - Oacoma MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will provide a presentation on general information about Meth, how to educate children and safeguard them to the South Dakota National Guard Family Readiness Program meeting at the Cedar Shore Resort.
 


October

2 – Lead/Deadwood  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer training for gaming industry managers concerning Meth Alert for motels, plus the impact of Meth on business owners

6 - Sioux Falls The South Dakota chapter of the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Scientists will receive training focused on Meth addiction and laboratory/medical intervention from MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen beginning at 11 A.M. at the Ramkota Hotel.

8 - Baltic MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will provide information about Meth during the Baltic Church Health Fair.

13 – Spearfish/Deadwood  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer an overview of Meth use sign and symptoms, child endangerment and Meth labs during the South Dakota School Psychologist conference.

14 - Sioux Falls Attendees of the state Education Association meetings will have the opportunity to learn about Meth use signs and symptoms, as well as the impact of parental Meth use on children from MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen.  She will provide two breakout sessions during the morning meetings at Memorial Middle School.

14 -Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will offer information on the medico-legal aspects of Meth to the South Dakota American Association for Medical Transcription starting at 1PM.

18 - Aberdeen MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Monica Hale will present information on Meth to leadership at 3M starting at 1:30PM.

19 - Rapid City 
The Medical Center staff at the Westside location will receive training on what medical providers need to know about Meth, including the signs and symptoms of use, drug endangered children and safety information from MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas.

20 - Winner MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will offer a presentation on Meth and its impact on children for the South Central Child Development/Head Start of Tripp/Gregory Counties at the Department of Social Services in Winner.

20 – Mission  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will offer information about Meth during the Family Night - Wanbli Wiconi Tipi – at the Juvenile Detention Center (across from Bristow Ranch, Hwy 18 West of Mission)    

24 – Martin MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will present information about Meth to the SD Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault/Bennett County State's Attorney meeting in the Martin Community Room starting at 6PM.

25 – St. Francis  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will be on hand during the St. Francis Indian School Prevention Week with information concerning Meth and its impact from 8:30AM – 4PM.

25 &26 – Custer MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer school presentations as a part of the Red Ribbon Week.

27 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will provide a training session for social service agency staff and volunteers at the Youth & Family Services Girls Inc. community Room.  This session, the first of two, will include Meth use sights and symptoms and the dangers of Meth labs. 


November

1 – Rapid Valley MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer information about Meth and its impact on children for teachers at Valley View Elementary School.

3 – Rapid City
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas presents the second session training for social service agency staff and volunteers. Topics for this session will be based upon participant interest.

5 – Rapid City 4H members and their parents will receive an overview of Meth and its dangers during their recognition dinner.  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer the presentation.

8 - Sioux Falls MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen will provide information on Meth and the danger it poses to rural communities during the Women Involved in Farm Economics convention.

8 - Sioux Falls Our Savior's Lutheran Church's young people and their parents will learn indicators of Meth use, the physical and emotional damage caused by Meth and prevention strategies presented by MAPP-SD Director Darcy Jensen.

9 – Sturgis MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation overview of Meth and MAPP-SD efforts for ABC Coalition members during their regular monthly coalition meeting.

9 – Mission  During the Todd County High School Family Night in the school lobby, MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will off information for parents, school staff and students on Meth.

9 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer training about Meth for staff of the Black Hills Corporation. 

13 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a 4H staff presentation on the signs and symptoms of Meth use and child endangerment at 7PM at the 4H building.

15 – Rapid Valley
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer training concerning Meth - Child Endangerment and symptoms of exposure in children to the teachers of Valley View Elementary School.

15 – Vermillion MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will offer training on Meth awareness for hotel staff at the Holiday Inn Express starting at 4:00pm

16 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation on Meth use signs and symptoms, labs, and personal safety to the staff of Montana-Dakota Utilities.

16 – Lead/Deadwood MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will be a part of the Meth Issues Forum, a community discussion of Meth issues.  Participation is limited to 20 individuals, so please RSVP to Kara at Northern Hills Alcohol & Drug at 347-2991 or Nikkole Abbas, MAPP-Coordinator. 17 - Custer MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will provide Meth lab recognition and safety training for the staff of the Black Hills Electric Co-op.

17 – Douglas County MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a presentation for staff in the Douglas School District on Meth use signs and symptoms, child endangerment and signs in children, and safety information.

28 - LaPlant MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer information to students and staff of the Tispaye Topa school concerning Meth dangers and the signs of use.

30 – Rapid City  MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will be a part of the Meth Issues Forum, a community discussion of Meth issues, from 6:30-8:30 PM at the School of Mines.  Participation is limited to 20 individuals, so please RSVP to Nikkole Abbas, MAPP-Coordinator. 


December

1 - Douglas School District MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will present information about Home Visitor Safety, including the signs and symptoms of use and labs, to those who perform home visits.

1 – Vermillion
MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Audrey Ticknor will present information on Meth and Dental Health at the USD Dental Hygiene starting at one in the afternoon.

4 – Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will offer a parent presentation for clients and staff of the Skills Development Center including information on Meth use signs, symptoms and dangers, as well as valuable information for parents on how to prevent their children from using drugs, including Meth.

13 – Lead/Deadwood MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will be a part of the Meth Issues Forum, a community discussion of Meth issues.  Participation is limited to 20 individuals, so please RSVP to Kara at Northern Hills Alcohol & Drug at 347-2991 or Nikkole Abbas, MAPP-Coordinator.

13 - Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Tammy Scott will offer information on the signs and symptoms of Meth use, drug endangered children and Meth in Indian Country during the Lakota Nations Conference.

15 - Rapid City MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas  will provide informational sessions for parents and educators during the Lakota Nations Conference.  Topics  include signs and symptoms of Meth use and Meth prevention information. 

19 - Bullhead MAPP-SD Meth Prevention Coordinator Nikkole Abbas will present 'Meth 101 for Parents" including basic information about Meth and tips for raising drug-free children at the Rock Creek Grant School.  A meal is provided beginning at 4:30PM, the presentation starts at 5PM.
