At Check In

There are some characteristics of Meth cooks and dealers that you would notice while they are checking in.  Taken individually, these are generally nothing to be concerned about; if you notice a number of these traits please use caution and talk to your manager.

Pays cash, in advance, for multiple days
Has no photo ID or credit card
Provides false information about vehicle
A local resident
Requests room close to ice machine
Requests room with outside entrance
Requests NO housekeeping service
Unusual odors on guests or belongings
Appears suspicious, nervous, hurried
Looks disheveled with unkempt clothing
Has discolored teeth
More luggage than normal or:
Instead of luggage, uses grocery bags, coolers, large plastic totes, boxes, etc.

Reminder: Not everyone who demonstrates one or two of these signs is necessarily a Meth manufacturer.  These are, however, signals to help you be alert to suspicious activity.
