The
MAPP-SD Rapid City Meth Coalition was launched with a community meeting in
March 2004. Since that time the Coalition has gone on to organize several
community events and awareness activities, including training seminars for
social service agency staff and volunteers, counselors, students, parents,
community members, real estate professionals and others. They are
currently working on a 6-hour seminar "Meth & Property Issues" for Real
Estate professionals, social service professionals, counselors and alcohol
& drug professionals to be held on March 12. The seminar runs from 9 AM to 4:30 PM in the Surbeck Center at SD School of Mines & Technology.
