South Dakota Recommendations

South Dakota has full guidelines for Meth lab clean up.  Governor Rounds' Statewide Methamphetamine Task Force compiled the Best Practices recommendations and has posted them on the state website under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources division.

There is an explanation of the health hazards associated with clan labs, how to prepare for cleanup as well as the cleaning process itself, evaluation and record keeping recommendations.

You may access the South Dakota Guidelines for Contamination Reduction here.  Please download a free Adobe Acrobat Reader if you do not have it installed on your computer.

Other information concerning Meth laws and clan labs is included on the state website, including:
Legal disclosures regarding Meth labs:
43-32-30. Disclosure of knowledge of existence of prior manufacturing of Methamphetamines.
36-21A-89. Commission to develop disclosure form regarding knowledge of existence of prior manufacturing of Methamphetamines.
