On December 21, President Bush signed into law the Methamphetamine
Remediation Research Act of 2007, clearing the way for research into
cleaning former Methamphetamine labs. H.R. 365 covers research into the
environmental and biological impact of residue in the former labs. It
also calls for the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to
work with federal, state and local governments and agencies to develop
voluntary guidelines for remediation of the former labs.
