During the Western Dakota Tech Wellness Fair, MAPP-SD will have a resource
table for students and staff on the dangers of Meth use and Meth labs and
how it can affect the rest of the community, from housing safety to
increased crimes and violence.

The public is invited to attend the MAPP-SD Rapid City Meth Coalition
quarterly "Lunch & Learn" meeting. Our guest speaker will be from the
Indian Health Services' Intensive Outpatient
Treatment Program for Meth addiction. The program has now had
clients for over a year, and we will hear about the successes of the
program and learn about what they do to incorporate cultural practices
into their treatment program. The meeting begins at noon in the community
room of the Youth & Family Services' Girls Inc.

Stephan - Parents and community members will learn about the dangers
of Meth during the Crow Creek School Parent
Night, as well as how to recognize the warning signs if their teen or
young adult child (or their friends) become involved with Meth use.
Practical strategies to not only intervene if use is suspected, but also
to help prevent use before it starts will also be shared. The event begins
at 4PM CST at the Crow Creek School.
